The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive IT professional to join our team. As an IT Support Engineer, you’ll report directly to the Head of IT and play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the organisation’s IT systems. You’ll work closely with internal teams, external members, and third-party suppliers to provide high-quality support, manage core IT systems, and introduce improvements that benefit the business.


The purpose of your role will be to ensure the smooth operation of IT systems while driving an automation first approach to business tasks. Your responsibilities will include resolving technical issues, managing IT vendors and systems, and implementing new tools and processes to improve efficiency.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve:


  • Providing IT support to internal teams and, on occasion, external members, troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Managing our Microsoft 365, Azure and Intune environments, including user account administration, endpoint management, and introducing new policies and controls.
  • Overseeing supplier relationships, handling equipment orders, and managing procurement.
  • Ensuring new starters have a seamless onboarding experience by managing hardware, software, and account setup.
  • Maintaining and updating our Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to ensure accurate asset tracking.
  • Administering and optimising our HALO ITSM platform for effective incident and request management in alignment with ITIL v4.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing automation where feasible.
  • Leading or participating in IT projects, including system rollouts, upgrades, and new tool implementations.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders and providing training on new tools and processes.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a combination of technical expertise, operational focus, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. We’re seeking someone who can work independently, think critically, and bring fresh ideas to the table.


You’ll need:

  • Solid experience in IT support, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Intune administration.
  • Basic PowerShell skills for scripting and automation.
  • Familiarity with ITSM platforms (e.g., HALO ITSM) and managing a CMDB.
  • Proven experience managing suppliers and overseeing procurement processes.
  • A proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements and automation.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • A high level of organisation and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
